Our goal
Everyone should be able to make, read and present a Diagla diagram. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across diagla.com.
What we've built in
- Every part of the site works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Text meets contrast of at least 4.5 to 1 against its background.
- Buttons and links on phones are at least 44 pixels tall.
- Diagrams carry written labels, so color is never the only way to tell parts apart.
- A light and a dark mode, through the sun and moon button in the header.
- Pages respect your device's reduced motion setting.
- Headings, landmarks and labels are marked up for screen readers.
- Making and changing a diagram is done by typing sentences, never by dragging shapes.
Known limits
- Very large diagrams can be hard to follow with a screen reader in presentation mode. The Layers and Pipeline views read in order and are the better choice.
- Image downloads are pictures of a diagram. Use the PDF or the share link when someone needs the text.
- Logos you upload are shown as you provide them; we can't check their contrast.
Compatibility
Diagla is built for current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on desktop and phone, and is built to work with the screen readers that come with them, such as VoiceOver.
Report a barrier
If something on Diagla stops you from using it, write to hello@diagla.com. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you use. We read every report and use it to fix the problem.
